Sold my Wrangler last week, the buyer's inspection found things I didn't even know about
Bit of a weird one to post but I figured it might help someone. I recently sold my Wrangler to a guy who insisted on getting it checked before handing over the cash, which honestly I respected even if it dragged things out a bit. He arranged a
Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee inspection for buyers in Al Quoz
and I tagged along mostly out of curiosity since I thought I knew my own car inside out. Turns out the inspector spotted a small oil seep near the rear main seal and some play in the front suspension that I had completely missed, probably because I'd gotten so used to how it drove. Nothing catastrophic and the buyer still went ahead after we agreed on a small price adjustment, but it was a humbling reminder that even a car you've owned for years can hide things. If you're selling privately, don't take it personally when a buyer wants a proper check, it actually made the whole deal smoother in the end.
