We've just taken on a second unit and need a pallet truck that can handle daily use without falling apart. Our old one is a no name brand that's been leaking hydraulic fluid for months and the forks have started to bend, which I didn't even know was possible. Looking at replacing it with something more solid this time. I've been eyeing a
truck hand pallet hydraulic 2.5 ton
since that capacity covers what we move, but I don't know if 2.5 ton is overkill for our needs or if it's the sensible choice. We mostly move pallets of packaged goods, nothing crazy heavy, but I'd rather have headroom than be at the limit all the time. Has anyone used a 2.5 ton truck in a small operation and found it manageable, or is it too bulky for tight aisles? Also curious about fork width, because I've seen different specs and I'm not sure what fits standard pallets here.
